Puffin and Whale Watch Tours
Approximate Trip Time: 3 1/2 - 4 hours

This is an incredible trip, fully narrated, on the gulf of Maine. We look for and find a variety of whale species along with seals, eagles, porpoises, dolphins, offshore birds, lighthouses and North Atlantic Puffins. Our vessel offers galley and bar service, indoor cabins, restrooms and plenty of outdoor viewing space.

We will visit Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge. Within the wildlife refuge is the island of Petit Manan, one of several along the Maine coast which host a large breeding colony of Atlantic Puffins. These colorful birds spend most of their lives in the ocean, using land only to raise their young. The only way to view them is by boat. The island is also home to common eiders (sea duck), common artic and roseate tern colonies. In addition, Maine's second tallest lighthouse is located on Petit Manan.

After viewing the wildlife and lighthouse we will proceed to the whale grounds where you will have an opportunity to see humpback, finback and Minke whales.

Whale Watch Tours
Approximate Trip time: 3 - 3 1/2 hours.

For our Whale Watching trip we keep it simple and head straight for whale watching. Because of the catamaran's speed we can offer you the most efficient Maine whale watching trip available. We will get you there fast to give you the most viewing time. The gulf of Maine is host to humpback, finback and Minke whales. Our Galley will be open during the voyage with a variety of food and beverages including beer and wine.

Lobster Fishing and Seal Watching
Trip time: 1 3/4 hours

Join us aboard the Miss Samantha, Bar Harbor's newest and biggest lobster passenger boat. During the first part of the trip, you'll watch us haul lobster traps from the ocean floor as the captain explains how the trap works. In addition to lobster and crab, you'll see and be able to touch sea urchins, starfish, and sea cucumbers. The kids will love it and so will you.

About half way through our cruise, we'll stow all the lobster gear and then head off to a small island to look at harbor seals basking on the rocks or swimming in the nearby water. Because of the Miss Samantha's size, we sometimes get so close that you can count their whiskers. Our sighting average is over 95 percent, so don't forget to bring your camera! And all the while, we'll be cruising in Frenchman Bay, where beautiful cottages line the shore and granite mountains rise majestically from the sea.

Lighthouse and Park Tour
Trip time: 2 3/4 hours

Join us aboard the Bay King III as we visit five offshore island lighthouses. Learn about Maine's Legendary lighthouses and the brave men and women who maintained them. Along the way you will have an opportunity to see some of Acadia National Park's most scenic highlights. This trip is fully narrated and offers ample time for the many excellent photo opportunities.
